SWimming on an sunday morning

This morning we went swimming in Giessen in "de kikvors"

We had our neighbour's son with us and Nils jumped from the high pitch in the water.

He even showed his mum that he could swim on his back.

We've been at the beach in Monster on Saterday afternoon and had a lot of fun. Nils running around without clothes and Davina and Thymen in underware.

This didn't go quite well..

This sunday Peter, Mellanie and their kids Duncan and Jason visited us in Andel.
We planned to go to slot Loevestijn on bicycles but unfortunately, Peter and Mellanie were not able to bring their bikes. Anyway, we went by car to Woudrichem and took the ferry to the other side of the .... ah well, stream actually. And the ferry was a small boat...

Finally saling

Since long we were finally able to go sailing for a day... although I forgot the keys to the boat and we had to turn back half way, it was a splendid day for sailing.

Jus a litlle foam on the waves and 1 reef in the sails...

Wende and Nils enjoyed it very much, Wende didn't even want to go to sleep, the game kiekeboe was too much fun with Nils who was supposed to sleep in the "captain's cabin" ...

Before we went to maaike and maartje's party, we went to the beach together with niall on sunday moring and surprisingly it was very very quiet.

Yesterday we went to see maaike and maartje, they both celebrated their birthday.

Maartje already is 5 years old! Time flies..

It was a very nice day for it and we brought them the rubber dinghy for the girls to play in the water.

Until now they had to borrow one from the neigbours but now they have one of their own.

Thanks to the hunch pa and ma had when they saw this boat a couple of years back on a holiday.

Maaike and Jaap also had a funny toy; A water vulcano. This vulcano erupted every few seconds and a whole fountain of water splasehd out in the sky!! And a lot of fun for the kids...and adults as well...

last weekend

This weekend it's Andel's year market weekend, saturday is full of festivities and above all, stalls with things you do not need but end up buying anyway..

Our rabbit changed into a cat but then I found out that this was actually our cat who liked the fresh rabbit house..and fell asleep.

Sometimes when Nils has done something naughty, he has to spend time in the hallway.

After a couple of minutes he is allowed to come back again but then HE is angry and hides in the...curtain...???

Queens day 2008

April 30 th is queens day in Holland and that is the day we celebrate the birthday of our queen. Actually it is the birthday of the former queen Juliana and her daughter queen Beatrix continued that day as a national celebration.

Nils made a special paper crown at the kindergarten.
