Steamy diner

Nils's "new" room and dinner at home!
Nils helped me painting his room a new layer of blue paint. He only did a few streaks but he soon had spots of blue all over his clothes.. Mom was not amused.. Today granddad came with a mechanic from Horticoop to install the new kitchen (day 1 of 2). Granddad sold us that kitchen and not so long ago he also installed them personally. After they went home we managed to get the induction cooker working and we had dinner in our own garden. Best of all, dad managed to get the dish washer working.. although he wasn't sure it worked because we didn't hear anything.. What a day!

Crane gone, kitchen delivered, the end is near
Today, the builders took the crane out of the front garden (finally) and the new kitchen was delivered. The builders were so friendly to carry all the new stuff all the way to the back of the house and put it in the new part of the house. Covering the entire space.. We hope we had the last diner in the caravan on the camp site because tomorow they are going to start assembling the new kitchen. Nils and Wende played in the playground for the last time and Mom watched them play enjoying the evening sun. Dad enjoyed the last dish washing (he hopes)

False alarm
Last night Lisette felt something "wrong" and she called the doctor who came around to check on things but we were lucky to have more time to finish the house. A lot of things happened the last weeks and I was not able to wright anything because I was so busy with things.. The neighbour Cor came to help me out with preparing the ceiling in the "old" part of the house so that the builders can make one new ceiling. We also went to Hulst again to visit grandma and granddad who celebrated his birthday. Maaike and Jaap and the kids were there too and Nilsand Wende had a great time playing with Maartje and Guusje. Grandma was still not well and the noise did not do any good so dad took the kids to the windmill in Hulst and we were lucky, the windmill was open for visitors and we all climbed the small stairs to the top. The miller explained to us how the windmill worked in the old days and the kids listened and were alowed to wind a small device that explained what the windmill did when it worked. In the mean time Jaap worked hard cleaning the drive way and the pavement and I went with my dad to the shops to buy a new drive way light. The week after, Nils and Wende slept over at Maartje and Gussje (again) and Mom and dad went to Ikea to buy flooring planks. The next day Jaap came over to help us (again) with painting our new bedroom and laying out the flooring planks. The bedroom is now almost finished and we are able to use our own bathroom. The neighbours Maja and Joost al also back from their holiday in Africa. (They allowed us to use their house for 2 weeks... that was grand! And we needed that...) From now on we still have to use the caravan to cook our meals but we can take a shower in our own home! A lot of news and I still haven't written down everything.. When will our newborn to be come, what will be finished...??? It's a stressfull time.
