Hurray for Maartje! and Hello again Marc Leonie and Danne!

Maartje (my sister's youngest daughter) has reached swimming level A today. We went to Woerden this morning to see Maartje at her swimming exam. She had to swim under water, on her back and float for a couple of seconds and she did it all flawless. Congratulations maartje!! After that we went to De Lier to see grandpa and grandma Struyk. Grandpa was at home again after being admitted to the hospital a couple of days but he's in better shape again. Unfortunately they want to do some more tests so he will have to go back again, probably on wednesday.

Sunday we had Leonie, Marc and Danne coming to visit us again. It is always great to see them again and it's especially great to see Nils and Danne picking up again from where lhey left off last time. Even if they don't get to play together often, they always immediately play again as if they see each other every day. Ah well, I have to tell that Nils is always a bit anxious when Danne is coming over, he was up at 10 past 6 this morning and asked a million times when Danne and her parents would arrive.. Anyway, we went to the "pannekoekenboot" which is a floating pancake restaurant in Woudrichem. Ingmar ate a whole pancake! And he loved it (as well as dad's ice cream at the end..) Wende accompanied Danne's parents in their car and Danne drove with us. For every meal the kids gotplastic coins and at the end they were allowed to choose from a variety of toys according the amount of coins. Each had 6 coins and picked a toy they liked most. We had a great time and look forward to the next time we see them again!
