Grandpa back home again

After a liver transplant, Grandpa Struyk is back home again! The day before my mom died he was admitted to hospital and now he is back again but still has a long way to complete recovery.. Let's hope he will get back to what he was before the liver desease struck him. What else did we do this weekend.. We went to Den Bosch yesterday to get some new books for the coming holiday and we drove a couple of asbestos plates wrapped in special foil to our local councel storage place (dump).
Nils made a waterfall togehter with Wende and the whole lot became one big mudplace..

And I've uploaded a small movie of Ingmar almost falling asleep during dinner...aaaaahhh

It never ends..

The last week I have been busy with a new pavement so not much has been posted but now the terrace is almost finished. Ofcourse there is still some work to do.. Such as the drain of the new shed and some work on the interior (lighting, isolation..)
It was hard work as the tiles of the terrace were quit heavy and there were 4 different sizes of tiles. To make sure I did not end up having to take them out again, I made a plan and counted how many tiles I had of each size. Lisette helped me with making sure I placed the right one at the right spot.. Ingmar is making progress as well, he is now walking and loves it so much he is actually running with his hands in the air to keep his balance. He also loves to run around in circles which is very funny to look at.

Nils Schooltrip to the zoo

I did not write anything since mum died and frankly, the words just don't come out.. But I have to start sometime.

This weekend dad was still busy with the interior of the new garage and the kids played inside when it was too hot outside. In the afternoon we went for a dip in the water at our own small beach. Today dad took Nils, Wende and Ingmar to my dad as Lisette had to go practise for her musical. It was hot today again and because of the heavy rain last night, it was damp too. So grandpa pulled out the great swimming pool and we filled it with a little water. Nils took out the slide and dad positioned it inside the pool, a great recepy for fun! After a while we all had a sandwich for lunch and as soon as Ingmar finished his little nap we went to a restaurant with a big playground. Ingmar has been standing almost the whole day now and he is also sometimes walking a few paces, how great! Just wish I could ofcourse share this with mom but heaven wouldn't be a real heaven without having internet there I guess so mom, look at these pic's! It's your grandson walking! we miss you.
