Having fun with jazz

We also went to see tante Jet at the hospital in Utrecht and she was awake most of the time this time. We held her hand and she looked at Nils and Wende with great interest. She asked iff Nils and Wende were brother and sister and she stroke nils's hair. Her face lit up as she looked at Nils and Wende. The kids found it scary ofcourse at first but after a few minutes they were used to this old lady and we explained them that tante Jet was very special because she was already 90 years old. When we left, tante Jet waved at us and Nils and Wende cheerfully said goodbye to her. Outside the hospital it stil rained...

Swiming o sunday morning

Dad bougth a new (second hand) tenor sax. He wants to take up lessons again after many years and this time not on a alt sax but a tenor sax. So he bought a selmer super action 80 II at a shop in Den Bosch and registered for lessons. Nils and Wende love music also and particularly jazz music. Probably because there is so much of it in our house.

Sunday was a rainy day and we went to the swimmingpool de kikvors in Giessen (NB).

Furthermore, dad has been trying to convert 8mm film to dvd with sound but it still proves difficult. This small movie dates back to 1980 or so when Joost, a friend of dad and him went on a short filght over Rotterdam in a Dakota during a air how at Rotterdam airport.
